Lindy and I met a long, long time ago. I was 12, she was exactly one year older. We believed our same birth date was a sign that we were destined to be best friends. Thankfully, she was pretty outgoing while I was still a bit shy. That didn't last long... Lindy was home schooled, so I would write her notes during class that I saved and gave to her on my walk home. It was a good time in my life filled with adolescent day dreams and hazy summer afternoons; ridiculous antics and a free spiritedness that would stick with me into my adult life. I was so glad to be able to see Lindy again and photograph her Christmas themed baby shower. We are both real grown ups now, a complete contrast to the youth we were then. We're married, I with two children and Lindy with one on the way. It's so sad to me that Lindy lives in Washington now, because I really believe watching our girls go through the stages that we went though together would just be amazing.
